Don’t confuse what you do with who you are.
Your worth isn’t based on what you do. Your worth is based on who you are, at your core. And who you are at your core is love and light. It’s unchanging and ever-present.
We are all the same. We are all love and light. We are just individual expressions of that. So be you.
Focus on the light at the centre of your own being. How brightly are you allowing it to shine? How well are you warming the paths of those around you? How well are you removing the things that are getting in the way?
Try to bring more light to any situation you find yourself in.
Sometimes we forget about the love and light inside of us. We go looking for it in all the wrong places. When really all we need to do is remember to turn inwards instead. We go out and try to get love. We try to find the light elsewhere. When really we have everything we need already.
At this time of year we often marvel at the beauty of the Christmas lights. We need to remember the light within us as well. Even if it feels hard to access at times, it’s there. Don’t squash it down. Don’t abandon it. You can bring it back to life and sparkle in ways that only you can. We all have a unique expression of light within us. It’s our responsibility to share it, to let it show and to summon it forth.
Where might you be dimming your light? Where are you not allowing yourself to shine?
Where might you be feeling drowned out by other people’s light? Where do you need to step back into your own? Claiming it. Owning it.
Where can you allow yourself to grow and expand, even if it feels challenging?
Don’t be afraid to shine your light. It’s a gift you’ve been given.
Ask ‘Will doing this particular thing allow me to shine more brightly?’
Don’t doubt yourself. Don’t deprive the world of your light. It needs more of it. It needs you. It needs all of us, shining as brightly as we can. This doesn’t have to mean putting on a performance or taking centre stage, unless you want it to. It can mean shining your light in your own humble way. It can mean being true to you, and not hiding your gifts and true nature from the world.
So let your light shine. It is beautiful. It is yours. And the more you connect to the love and light inside you, the more you’ll see it reflected all around you.
Wishing you a wonderful Christmas and so looking forward to sharing more with you in the New Year.
With love,
Kelly x
