Sometimes we feel the urge to shake things up.
Sometimes we need to shake things up so that we don’t stagnate.
We can be wise to follow whatever makes us feel the most free.
How many things do we do because we think we should or because we have to?
How many things do we put pressure on ourselves to do, even though nobody is forcing us to?
It can be really good to take a look at all of the things like this in our lives, and to look at any changes we want to make.
It can be really healthy to look at ways of creating more space and freedom for ourselves.
For me I’ve realised that I need structure and routine to feel grounded, to feel some sense of purpose running through my days. But I also need a lot of space and freedom. It can be tricky to find a balance, especially when things are constantly changing and evolving.
But the first step is being aware of what we want to create, and of how we want to feel. We can then use these things as helpful guideposts.
If we can take care of ourselves in really healthy ways and build supportive habits we can create important structures in this way, with plenty of space within them.
Often when we allow more space we actually end up getting more done. We feel more inspired and like there is more room to breathe.
When we allow space and freedom for ourselves we can come at things with a much better energy.
Often we do things unquestioningly because it’s what we’ve always done, or because it’s what we think other people want or expect from us.
But if we can do things on our own terms and break our own self-imposed rules we will often have so much more to give, and we can give in ways that feel really joyful.
It can be good to change the rhythm or the pace.
So I’m going to be shaking things up with the blog and posting when I have something ready to share, rather than at a set time each Monday.
I’m feeling the need to open things up and not have any fixed schedule for creating and sharing things.
I was very pleased to publish my 40th post last week. I’ve really enjoyed putting them out each week and creating a back catalogue that will remain on my site. But now I’ve built that base, I’m craving a certain freedom that will come from blogging as and when the mood strikes.
I hope you’ll feel the good energy behind anything I write going forwards.
It’s been a big year so I’m going to be taking some time out to rest and renew ahead of some new projects in the autumn, and whilst I feel into what wants to come next. Starting with a solo adventure at the end of next month…
I will keep you posted.
Thank you so much for following my journey to date. Please stay tuned and I look forward to sharing a lot more with you along the way.
In the meantime what structures do you want to create for yourself? Which paths do you want to explore? Where would you like to shake things up or be more spontaneous?
And where can you give yourself just a little bit more freedom?
Because with freedom comes truth, and all the more inspiration.
Thank you as ever, for reading.
With love,
